Au revoir, Morgane

October 04, 2013  |   News

All Smiles from MorganeOn the 17th May we said ‘au revoir’ to our charming French intern, Morgane Freche.

Morgane had been studying International Business at Wiltshire College, Chippenham and, as part of the final exam, needed to fill a 3 month internship with a UK freight company. Recalling fond memories of our previous intern, Isabelle Pegues who joined for 3 months in 2007 and stayed for more than a year and a half, we gladly accepted her. Morgane commenced working here on the 4th February and finished on the 17th May.

Due to a rather overcrowded office, Morgane was unfortunately not assigned her own desk and therefore shared desks or filled in when other members of the team were away, thus enabling her to gain experience on all departments throughout the 3 month internship, although primarily she worked within the air export department during a particularly busy period.

Morgane gave her assessment of her short time with our company;

“My experience inside the SFS team has been most of all enriching and useful. I am now able to manage a shipment by myself and understand the entire exporting process. The Air Export team was always listening and supporting me during my learning. Also, I can notice a real improvement in my English skills and it was the opportunity to discover the British culture and way of life in the best conditions !

Working hard… or should we say; “travailler dur”

Since the first day, I felt very at ease thanks to a warm welcoming and a very relax atmosphere. I have never imagined that we can find a business with such strong family values and such a bonded team ! It was a real pleasure to be part of SFS for 15 weeks and I would like to thanks warmly the entire team for this amazing experience”.

The three month internship at SFS was not only a great experience for Morgane, but also a wonderful opportunity for our team to once again work closely with a fellow European. It’s certainly apparent that she thoroughly enjoyed her work experience and, thanks to Russell, has developed some unique language skills;

In her ‘au revoir’ message to the office, she wrote

And I would like to apologize for my approximate English, if sometimes I could not really understand what you were saying… But fortunately, thanks to Russell, I am now able to swear and speak with a rude language as proper English ! “

Knowing Russell as a charming, gentile and polite person, we’re sure this ‘compliment’  is simply lost in translation!

We wish Morgane all the best for her future career and thank her for bringing an element of ‘chic’ to the SFS office.
