ISPM15 Ocean Freight (FCL) Packing Declaration

June 29, 2012  |

When loading ocean freight containers destined for any of these countries, we require you to complete a wood packaging declaration, confirming that the packing materials inside the container adhere to the ISPM15 regulations, whether pallets/crates, or indeed any wood blocking used to secure the load.

This document is forwarded together with all other shipping documentation, as the container will remain sealed and secured until it is unloaded at destination. It is worth noting that countries subscribing to the wood packaging regulations can and will impose fees to fumigate containers, creating delays and accumulating storage charges.

Other destinations can refuse entry for non compliant packaging and return to origin – with the responsibility of charges falling onto the shipper. If you are unsure, please check with us or your packers.
