Chris, Ross and Dave Negus – all smiles ready for the filming!

As you probably know, we recently decided to create a new time lapse movie, following on from last years’ new building “SFS Move Story“, this time detailing three months in the life of our busy operation.

After 10 weeks of cameras clicking away in our facility, filming has now finished – and editing commenced! We’re really excited and can’t wait to show off the inner working of not only our facility, but our team also, and some of the more intricate areas of our business. Aside from the traditional elements of freight forwarding, we are also involved in many specialist sectors including bonded warehousing and cruise and marine logistics.

Capturing the use of our boardroom during a busy working week

From container loading/unloading to cruise vessel deliveries, our warehouse is a busy operation, often seven days a week during the Mediterranean cruise season (April to November), with multiple cruise vessels calling throughout the weekdays and weekend. Our vehicles deliver everything from technical engine spares and cleaning equipment, to mobility scooters and even a model car for a theatre production of Grease !

We also hold stock of product for clients, including linen for a pick/pack operation and distribution to cruise vessels across the world. The containers arrive with as many as 1400 individual pieces that require unloading by hand, palletising, logging onto our warehousing system and then packed away into our bonded warehouse, ready for picking.

The movie should be released soon on our YouTube Channel – and we’ll make sure we send you a quick notification. We hope you enjoy seeing our family business operating day to day!
