Our membership in the World Logistic Alliance (WLA), a vetted network platform, allowing small/medium and privately owned freight forwarding companies connect with other likeminded companies across the globe, enters its 10th year.

This year our business development manager, Mark Pake, attended the annual meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with our MD, Ross Negus.

At this 10th year anniversary event, we were presented with an award as a ‘Black Member’ – celebrating our long term involvement in the network as a solid, reliable, fiscally sound company, offering consistent high levels of service and communication to the members. These qualities are the foundations of our family business, and we feel proud to have been recognised by this wonderful network.

Being a member of such networks allows us the opportunity to meet face to face with many of our global partners, who operate independently in their country, as our ‘partner office’. Speaking directly to the owners, or senior management, we use these opportunities to explain our culture and our requirements for our partners to represent us in their country. We also act for many of these companies as their UK partner, and answer questions about our services. Many of these companies we have worked with for almost a decade, and each year we have meet new agents who have recently joined.

To compete in the global marketplace, against multinational freight forwarding businesses with offices across the globe, we must demonstrate our strengths in being independent. One of these strengths is; if a large multinational forwarder has a poorly performing office, somewhere in the world, they have no choice but to continue cooperating with them. For us, we have the ability change at any time. We regularly vet our oversees partners, and meetings such as these allow us the opportunity to discuss any potential service issues. We also, in some areas of the world, work with several different partners, depending on speciality requirements such a niche area, or perhaps an alignment to air, ocean, cruise & marine or dangerous goods, for example. Our network is global, diverse and accountable.
